New Connecticut Wealth Management Consultancy Launches

Industry veterans John Straus and Peter Ruhlin have launched Darien, CT-based FallLine Strategic Advisors - a new firm which provides strategic and transaction advisory services within the wealth management sector. FallLine said it provides assistance in developing business strategies, navigating transactions, accelerating growth and succession planning. Its services include customized solutions for business development, management structure and governance, business integration, and product and service offerings. Co-founder Straus was previously chairman of the Private Bank in the Americas and head of private wealth management for UBS, as well as having been head of private banking in the US for JP Morgan, and head of private wealth management for Morgan Stanley. Ruhlin is former head of the US capital markets practice and a founder of the US practice at global law firm Linklaters. “The wealth management industry is ever-evolving, highly fragmented and lacking a dominant business model. Strategies that may have been successful in the past may no longer be the best path forward in this changing landscape,” Straus said.
